Chatham Pediatrics Immunization Policy
We strongly believe that all American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommended immunizations are safe.
We strongly believe that following the AAP immunization schedule is the most important action we can take to prevent serious illness and death in children.
We strongly believe that having our patients follow the AAP immunization schedule is the most important action we can take to protect our community.
For these reasons, we ask that our patients receive all immunizations recommended by the AAP.
We require that children receive all immunizations required by the North Carolina Department of Health for K-12 schools within 6 months of the recommended age per the AAP schedule.
New patients without all required immunizations will be expected to start catch-up immunizations within 1 month of their first visit to Chatham Pediatrics, and they will be required to receive all required immunizations within 12 months.
Exceptions will be made for children with medical conditions that require an altered immunization schedule.
Chatham Pediatrics reserves the right to alter our immunization policy as needed and in the event of a local outbreak or public health emergency.
